Laura joined Gretchen Meyer Financial as she believes in the mission of empowering women to achieve financial independence. She too was caught off guard and found herself in a vulnerable financial position and never wants another woman to go through the struggles that she went through.
Laura started her career in the insurance industry over 25 years ago. Her experience as an insurance broker allowed her to assist her clients with their property & casualty, life and long-term care planning needs.
Laura’s career as a Financial Consultant began approximately five years ago while working for Citizens Bank in Saratoga Springs. In this role, she quickly realized that the majority of people she met with had their money in vehicles that were earning little to no interest and if they did have investments, they didn’t understand what they were invested in. Laura takes the time to explain and simplify complex concepts and educates her clients on their journey to financial independence. This journey may involve budgeting, college planning, investment advice, legacy planning, long-term care planning, retirement planning, wealth management as well as business succession planning. It all starts with a conversation… From there she will learn more about you, your dreams and goals and will be better equipped to make recommendations and customize a financial strategy to manage those goals.
Laura also works in tandem with a team of other professionals including accountants, attorneys and property & casualty agents to craft a plan unique to the individual clients’ goals.
She is a native of New York’s Capital Region and resides in Saratoga Springs. Laura holds her New York State Property and Casualty license, New York State Life Accident and Health license as well as her FINRA Series 6, 63 & 65 licenses with LPL Financial. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering for non-profits, attending charitable events and spending time with friends, family and her fur baby Christy.
